Hi guys! I'm assuming many of you have heard, but for those of you who haven't, there is a new restaurant in Greensboro!
Taco Mama!
It opened late April over on Lawndale Dr, in the same shopping center as Hops. It's a unique addition to the area and gives me a Tex Mex / Cantina kind of feel.
They have a pretty good menu. I've been twice now. (However, I must admit I got the same thing both times...oops) They have a variety of signature dishes, including quesadillas, tacos, and burritos. But they are also accommodating because they have a build your own section as well.
I'm partial to the chicken quesadilla. It's delicious, and you get enough to have leftovers the next day.
I went with Jake one time and Liz another and they got the same taco called the Alabama Redneck. They both gave it a thumbs up! It's comprised of pulled pork and additional toppings.
Their drinks are exciting too. Numerous types of margaritas you can order. Plus, they offer margarita pitchers, which is a win if you have people with you.
I will say, my only con is the seating arrangement. It's like Hops for those of you who have been there. You sometimes have to share a rectangular table with strangers. Which isn't always my fav thing to do, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
I think the atmosphere & menu definitely make-up for it. However, if you go at a peak time, do be prepared to wait at least 10 min.
Comment below if you've been and what your favorite dish is!
