New Boutique || How to Style an Outfit for Work & Play

Hey y'all & happy Monday!

Let's start the week off right with a couple of new outfit posts!  Last week I went on a road trip to Savannah, Georgia. It was GORGEOUS 😍   Anyways, as I was there, my momma and I went window shopping where we ended up at a sweet boutique called DressUp! (How fun is that name?!) I browsed the store, and found 3 simple tops that I thought would be perfect for the start of school.  All for a steal too I might add, I spent $60 for 3 tops.  Below I've styled 5 different looks, 3 for work & 2 for days out of the house, all using the same 3 tops.

--The store is only local to the more southern states, fingers crossed they come to NC!  Here is their website if you're interested ➡ Dress Up

TOP numero uno Emma Tee (similar scoop neck)

I live in V-Neck tees, especially soft ones like this one.  It is longer in the front & back but I tied it in the front to give it a more fitted look.  I paired it with distressed jeans & brown open toe booties (perfect for fall).  I actually wore this to a dinner for a friends b-day & would wear it to a casual date night with Jake as well.

Now I'm taking the same shirt and styling it for a day of teaching!  This time I tucked the shirt into my black dress pants to make it appear more professional & paired it with black flats.  Super comfy for work & cute ;)

Top 2 Emma Cardigan (no longer online but in stores!)

I love this mauve cardigan and the slit in the side, perfect summer/fall transition piece.  I paired it with a white cami and the same distressed jeans and brown booties for a day out shopping.

Transforming it to work attire, I again paired the same top and cardigan with black dress pants & black flats.

TOP #3 Rivers of Joy Top

This top I thought would be perfect for school!  It's professional & appealing.  The open shoulder & ruffle detail make it more fun!  I paired this top with my black dress pants & flats.

Distressed Jeans: Hollister (similar)

Black Dress Pants: WHBM   ➜ I just have to say these are the BEST, and I mean best dress pants as far as fit and comfy go.  I HIGHLY recommend these if you have to wear dress pants to work.   My momma & I steal these from one another often.

Black Flats: Vince Camuto

  1. You're the cutest! Love this post! I love finding work clothes that I can also wear out and about or on dates!
