2018 Christmas Gift Guide

Y' has been a hot minute.  I haven't written a post since the beginning of August.  I transferred schools teaching this fall and it has been a huge adjustment for me, a good change but again all changes come with challenges.  But, it's finally Christmas time, my favorite season and I'm on a mission to make this the best one yet!  I've put up my tree, already done some shopping, bought my bath and body works holiday edition stuff and even watched Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer on Channel 2 lol.   Therefore, with tomorrow being December 1st, I wanted to share my holiday gift guide this season based on things I like on my wish list and things I think others would too!

My ultimate Christmas wish right here, I asked for a golden retriever puppy every year for Christmas as a child, I'm 24 and still waiting!  One day y'all!

To start with let me say, you cannot go wrong with a Sephora holiday set, they are all wonderfully packaged.  Men, all you have to do is pick one that looks semi attractive and I promise, you're golden.  But, if you want to put some thought into it, here are my suggestions that fall under $100.

1. Kiehls Glow Hydration Set $54
I'm already a fan of Kiehls products and this set has several testers that I think anyone would be happy to try.  The face cream I already use, and I love it!
2. Peter Thomas Roth Set $52
A perfect set as it contains a cleanser, moisturizer & a serum.

3. Caudalie Brightening Heroes $79
I've tried one of their products before and liked it, it has a renewal cream which is what I'm big into now.
4. Benefit Brow Set $59
This is a steal since it's worth a $140 value!  I recently started using their brow pencil and I love it!  Highly recommend this set for someone who loves to do their brows  Only downfall is it doesn't come in an array of colors.
5. Better than Sex Mascara $12
I love this mascara, I'm getting it for Christmas in the full size from Santa ;) but they make a trial size that would make the perfect stocking stuffer for someone wanting to test it out or just a fun little gift to give.

For those who love someone who loves to read.
This year I read a wonderful book called "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah, it's truly an inspiring, marvalous read and I encourage anyone who reads this post to get their hands on a copy to read it.

Currently in my Amazon Cart (hoping my brother will decide to get me one) are the following books:
1. My Oxford Year
My Oxford Year: A Novel by [Whelan, Julia]
Lizzie recommended me this one, and after reading the synopsis I know I'd like it!

2. The Tattooist of Aushwitz
I've heard and read good things on this one as well, and after reading the Nightingale, my interest in World War II was peaked again.  For those of you who don't know, I did major with a concentration in Social Studies.
3. November 9: A Novel
Lastly, this had good reviews on Amazon, and I like the idea of reading about characters through the trails and tribulations of their lives throughout the years.

Bath Accessories

I've purchased Lush Christmas sets before and love them, they are so festive, here are a couple of choices!

1. Christmas Candy Box $29.95
It comes with 2 bath bombs, a bubble bar and a fun shower gel!

2. Jolly Holidays $49.95
This is the cutest set! I mean, come on y'all, look at that Santa!  It contains bath bombs, bubble bars, and shower gel!

Clothes & Such

Now, I'm pretty particular about my clothes so my family can't really pick them, I usually end up asking for gift cards to my favorite places. So I thought I'd list two of my current favorite stores!  So, if you're looking to get your person a clothing gift card, here are my suggestions.  I'd be thrilled to get something to any of these.

Boutique: (Also, what I love about both of these is that they started their first store in NC! How cool!)

Department Store:
Victorias Secret

Also on my list this year were UGG Slippers.
I hate walking around in the morning before work in the winter and my feet are cold, but I don't like putting on socks, ergo the perfect solution...Slippers!  I did a little research and found these to be best suited for me.

I know this sounds lame, but socks.  I told my mom I really needed new workout socks!  I'm personally a Nike & Adidas fan.  Now obviously if your person doesn't need running/training socks, it's still fun to get a cute pair for the holidays!  Target and J.Crew always have fun holiday socks!

Heres's a few from J.Crew

Enjoy this holiday season y'all, and while I do love gifts, also remember the reason for the season 😊
